When we pray its good to know that God Hears and that God Answers Prayers, for our prayers to be answered we must pray according to the instructions in God's Word. Below are some instructions from The Word Of God (KJB), may The Lord help us all to pray, not just a ritual or a routine but Biblical with direction, utilizing The Power Of Prayer for His Glory. Amen
To have answered prayer we must genuinely repent from sin:
Psa 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
Joh 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
#3 God's Will:
To know God's Will and Pray according to God's Will:
=By reading the Bible *according to the Bible how does God think , according to the Bible how does God feel.
=While reading the Bible look for God's Bible Promises *God always keeps His word.
=Humility *it's not about us it's all about HIM.
=Be sensitive and yield to the Holy Spirit (John 16:13)
1Jn 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
1Jn 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
#4 Right Relationship:
To be in a Right Relationship with Jesus and to ask in Jesus name.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
=The Power of Prayer is JESUS, all power is given to him. Thus we pray in Jesus Name.
Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Mar 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Joh 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Joh 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
#5 Be Persistent:
Don't give up, pray without ceasing and pray fervently.
1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
#6 Have Faith:
We must Belief and Trust Jesus for the answer:
Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Mat 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Jer 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
#7 Pray For Others:
We are to pray for others with Love and Forgiveness.
Matthew 6: 9-13
1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
Mat 5:23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
Mat 5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Mar 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
#8 Be Patient:
Wait for God's perfect timing.
Gal 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
